During an unknown time, one 21-year-old man returns to his friends and is caught in a rebelious war against the multi-billion dollar company known as Shinra. His name is Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite squad known as SOLDIER, but when he returns to his long time friend Tifa Lockheart he joins her and others to form the rebel group AVALANCHE for their strike against one of Shinra's huge Mako Reactors that surround the
city of Midgar.

During the journey, pasts and futures unfold and Cloud realizes he's not what he thinks he is. In the begining he is not trusted by Barret Wallace, the 35-year-old leader of AVALANCHE but Cloud soon gains the respect and friendship of the man. After the successfull raid on Shinra's Mako Reactor #1 the team splits up and promise to meet at Headquarters. Cloud wanders Sector 5 of Midgar and bumps into a beautiful flower girl. They speak for a little while and then she walks off. Something tells Cloud he'll see her again.

Skipping ahead, Sephiroth, a former leader of SOLDIER, has gone crazy. He begins to have thoughts of killing the worlds entire population so he and his "mother" Jenova Project can rebuild a better world ruled by the Ancients.

A massive cannon in Junon, a sleeping man with hidden secrets. An undiscovered cave with a magical summon......these are just some of the tasks Cloud and his friends must complete before Sephiroth and Jenova summon the Crater
and destroy the earth for good.
