What are Chocobo's?Chocobo's are the horses of Final Fantasy 7. These cute looking creatures can have a big effect on your game. Some can't beat the game without them! That's becasue when you breed certain Chocobo's you can get a Special Chocobo. These Special Chocobo's can preform tasks like crossing a shallow river, climbing mountains, preform both or the Utimate Chocobo, the Gold Chocobo, can cross large bodies of watter and climb huge mountains! To get the Ultimate Materia, Knights of the Round, you must breed Chocobo's to get the Gold Chocobo.
Getting StartedDuring Disc 2 or 3, it's easier on Disc 3, Purchase stalls from Choco Billy (no less than three), and then begin hunting for those Chocobo's! As you know, by now, Chocobo's can be found where ever you see large bird foot prints (Chocobo Tracks) on the landscape. What you probably don't know, is that each place with foot prints has a different kind of Chocobo. To breed the best, you must catch the best! Here's a quick list of the best places to get Chocobo's and the type you'll find in each:
